The role of blankets is woven deep in the history of Native Americans. For centuries, they have been used for: warmth and comfort, as a medium of exchange, for artistic expression and as an important part of ceremonies and tribal councils. Pendleton has worked closely with Native Americans to create high-quality blankets in vivid designs. From the archives Pendleton has chosen to re-introduce some enduring designs. Dating back as far as 1896, each blanket in the Heritage Collection illustrates the geometric motifs and weaving expertise that quickly became a Pendleton hallmark. An unnapped finish preserves the blankets authenticity. They are true collectibles, to use and enjoy today and then pass down for generations to come.
