Clam

In Haida mythology Raven discovered the first humans in a clamshell and coaxed them to enter the world. The clam is not a crest figure, but it is mentioned in stories and appears as a decorative motif. Depictions of clams are generally naturalistic, showing the curved shell with linear surface patterns. A human face may appear on the shell to personify Clam.
