Silk Scarf Care

Pure silk is a wonderful material with a natural sheen.

If your silk scarf needs cleaning you should never wash it yourself. Dry cleaning is the recommended method to preserve the shape and sheen. Should your scarf become wrinkled you may iron it. Be certain to use the very lowest heat setting on your iron. Use gentle pressure to gradually erase out creases, rather than relying on heat or steam. Do not apply too much pressure when ironing the delicate rolled edges.

The most important rule is: Always follow the instructions for care given on the manufacturer's sewn-in label. These instructions take precedence over any general recommendations for care.
